Your Immersive Weaving Experience
An Initiation into an Ancient Craft
Your 3 to 4-hour journey is a blend of learning, creating, and discovering, beginning with a traditional Moroccan mint tea and an introduction to the rich world of Berber rugs. You’ll discover the meanings behind the symbols and patterns before selecting a design that speaks to you from a variety of colorful wools.
You’ll then take your place at a traditional loom. Guided step-by-step by the skilled artisans, you will learn the fundamental rhythm of knotting and weaving. This hands-on process is designed for all skill levels, ensuring everyone can create their own unique, handmade mini-rug to cherish as a souvenir.
A Visit to a Private Weavers’ Showroom
To complete your immersion, you will be granted access to an exclusive showroom connected to a traditional weavers’ market. Here, you can marvel at the incredible craftsmanship of larger pieces, meet other artisans, and understand the full journey of a rug from thread to masterpiece—a perspective few travelers get to see.
