During your cooking classes, you will meet Tarek, a local chef who will delight your taste buds and surprise you.
Tarek grew up in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco, on his family farm, amidst Berber tribes. Surrounded by fields, he developed a taste for nature and had access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and high-quality meat from freely raised animals, all provided by the locals.
His culinary training began at a young age, learning from his mother, whose family cooking was renowned by all. Despite having basic equipment, she never settled for ordinary approximate cooking, and she passed on to her son her secrets for creating healthier and more flavorful dishes than usual ones.

With his refined palate and a passion for precision, Tarek embarked on his own path, initially working in reputable restaurants in Tangier (such as the renowned Dar Nour), where he further honed his skills.
However, Tarek never forgot how traditional cooking techniques bring unique flavors to Moroccan cuisine. That’s why he naturally specialized in these Beldi techniques during his cooking classes, such as cooking over charcoals and fire, or using an old communal bread oven.
Guided by his love for sharing and transmitting his culture, as well as his desire to bring back the culinary diversity of Morocco that is fading away in favor of repetitive and poorly balanced dishes, Tarek started offering his own cooking classes.
This is what makes Tarek’s cuisine and classes unique.
With many years of experience, he combines traditional know-how and techniques with a modern and avant-garde approach. He innovates by experimenting with ingredient and spice combinations, and by preparing traditional dishes that are often unknown, such as fish ones typical of certain regions but rarely found in tourist places.
His love for fruits and vegetables is evident in his vegetarian meals, where he combines them with precision and originality, which is rare in Moroccan restaurants. His willingness to share always leads him to afford creations tailored to individual preferences.

In his cooking classes, you will have the opportunity to truly discover local markets and products, experience true traditional Moroccan cuisine and not widely known to the general public, and ultimately engage in a genuine cultural learning experience!
